Check the last part of the onion address. Letters and numbers just before the onion domain. Scammers can easily generate up to 8 first characters of the onion domain, this is why it is so important to focus on the last characters. Based on HST address example always check 5 last characters: ...oh4id.torify.net. A quick glance at the first few characters of an address can fool you. Nobody can fake the last few characters. That is why all links on the HST have been changed to show the last characters, and when you hover over the link, you can also check that the link has the same characters as the abbreviation. This will help you get into the habit of checking links and avoiding fake sites + check the link in a second trusted directory. Pasting whole links as text instead of hyperlinks will not change anything if our site is taken over and the links are replaced by the attacker. This happened more than once in the history of the Tor network for the other catalogues like HST, fortunately my site is very well protected and has never been hacked, however, I cannot guarantee you that this will always be the case.
